Buckley Heritage Trail

About
Buckley Heritage Trail

Starting from the Etna Park free car park off Globe Way in Buckley, this mixed urban and rural walk guides visitors along level, accessible pathways through the fascinating industrial history of the area.

The water-filled fireclay pits and lagoons created by this industrial activity now teem with life, a welcome haven for plants and animals alike, including the rare and protected Great Crested Newt.

Though the noise and toil of the industries which helped to shape the proud town of Buckley are long since gone, this trail ensures that the legacy of those workers is remembered and honoured while the area is managed and protected for future generations to enjoy.
